Robots are more popular than ever and even currently short in supply. Therefore, the Japanese company has launched the construction of another factory in Japan, which should help to meet the current demand.
The current production is 2700 robots per month but thanks to the new plant the production will rise to 5000 robots per month.
FANUC Robotics Europe sold 3600 robots in 2009 across the whole Europe, last year it was even 4500 units and the aim for 2011 is creditable 7400 industrial robots. But not even this number is the final goal for the European management, which plans to sell 14 400 robots in 2014.
You can read more about the company plans in the interview with European president Olaf C. Gehrels and Germany managing director Olaf Kramm.
